Using Conversion Tracker

A conversion occurs when a click on an advert leads directly to user behaviour at your website you deem valuable, such as a purchase, sign up, or page view.

HSPcomplete allows placing conversion tracker on the following store pages:

Conversion tracking involves placing a cookie on a user's computer when he/she clicks on a tracker advert. Then, if a user clicks on an advert and reaches one of your conversion pages (select hosting plan, place order, etc.), the user's browser sends the cookie to a tracker server. When such a match is made, a tracker engine records a successful conversion for you. Conversion statistics is typically available in your account you have set up with conversion tracker provider.

The Store Tracker integration tools under the Commerce Director - Store Manager - Configure Store allow you to place a piece of HTML and JavaScript code from the third-party conversion trackers on your store pages simply by pasting the code into the corresponding fields of the HSPcomplete store configuration form. You can use the standard placeholders (provider company name, hosting plan name, etc.) in the code. Placeholders are different expressions that start from @@ and end with @. All the placeholders available are shown in the list below the field you enter the code. Designation of each placeholder is explained in the right column of the list. Having been inserted in the code, a placeholder automatically drops the appropriate value taken from HSPcomplete database (hosting plan name, order ID, order total, etc.).

So, all you need, to begin conversion tracking, is set up an account with a conversion tracker provider, receive code and place this code to your store pages using the HSPcomplete web-based interface.
